SDS Window Overview

Each SDS window is divided into the following three frames: Main Menu Panel, Contents Panel, and Document Panel.

Main Menu Panel – Located at the top of all SDS windows, the Main Menu Panel contains the following buttons:

●      – Reloads the SDS Online home page

●      – Launches the online Help in a new window

●     – Launches the US Pharmacopeia web site in a new window

Contents Panel – Located on the left side of the window, the Contents Panel contains a series of letter buttons (A-Z), New button, and a Search field.

●     Click on a letter button to obtain a list of reference standards beginning with that letter.

●     Click on the button to view the most recently added Safety Data Sheets.

●     Use the Search field to search by reference standard name, catalog number, or CAS number.

Document Panel – Located on the right side of the window, the Document Panel displays the reference standard Safety Data Sheet selected from the Contents Panel. The data sheet displays as a PDF file.
